Ok, so I'm the worse ring admin in the world. But I just approved new members and am digging through existing members to make sure they're still alive and kicking.

If you are waiting for approval that means you do not have the ring code on your page.

And awhile back a couple of people offered to help admin. I never followed up because of craziness...but I'm open now.

Email me: dropstitch@gmail.com if you're interested. Responsibilities would be maintaining the ring through RingSurf and updating the blog.

Obviously it's been ages since this blog has been updated. My sincerest apologies. If one of your fabulous gals out there would like to help out, I'd love to have a co-admin on this.

Blogging is growing in popularity. If you find it tough to keep up with all the blogs you love, you should try one of the great blog subscription or blog roll services. These are free services that tap into a blog's data feed. That way, you can log into your service, view your list of blogs and tell at a glance which blogs that you read have been updated. I use BlogLines and love it...but I know others use BlogRolling. Check them out!

As you may have seen on www.knittyboard.com, there is going to be an informal meet up in Seattle on Friday June 22. You're all welcome to join.

The plan is to meet at Starbuck's one block south of the Weaving Works. We'll gather and introduce ourselves and then all tromp over to Weaving Works together. No big whoop! There will be a couple of out of state Knittyheads there though and this would be a great opportunity to meet your fellow Seattle knitters.

I'll be playing hooky from work to attend. So I hope you can make it!

New Design - WIP

The updated design is up and running. Like the best knitted objects, our ring homepage is a Work In Progress. Tell me what you think of the design as it is now. I'm open to suggestions on color/layout/images etc.

There's a new Sticks In Seattle button image too...because I'm all about variety. Feel free to create your own Sticks In Seattle button image. The rule is - you have to share! :) Just email me or post a link to the image so that others can use your creation.

Hilltop East - we can't wait!

The sad news that Skeins! Ltd. in Bellevue was closing has been erased by the news that Hilltop Yarns has purchased Skeins! and will be opening Hilltop East in the next month!!! I don't know about y'all, but I'm so excited I could skip like a little girl.

Even better - there's going to be an inventory clearance sale July 2 and 3 held by the new owners. Be strong my knitting bretheren! Remember, mortgage/rent FIRST...THEN the yarn goodies. ;)

So let's all raise a glass to our soon-to-be Hilltop East.

Hi All!
Seattle is a great town. Friendly people, great yarn stores, lots of coffee and tea shops and wonderful weather (no matter what people say). This blog/webring are for all of us Western Washington fiber crafters. I'll be making the site prettier and accepting webring additions soon.
